Sarah first tried a yoga class in 2010, after completing university where she played varsity women’s basketball. Missing the commitment, focus, exercise and team atmosphere that being a competitive basketball player created for her, she decided to step out of her comfort zone and take a yoga class. The heat combined with the focus on breath and movement had her feeling like she was back on the court once again, leaving her feeling rejuvenated, relaxed and detoxified. She has been hooked ever since! As en elementary school teacher in Hamilton, Sarah’s biggest passion is working with children and seeing their growth and love for life each day. She has taken the Kids Yoga Teacher Training through Kids Rock Yoga and De La Sol Yoga Studio, giving her the tools necessary to teach children how to connect their movements with breath, have fun and to become mindful beings. She is passionate about engaging children of all ages and abilities to become healthy and active through the use of these non-competitive activities.
